How To Play Guitar with Guitar Song

By Mieke

Music in all it’s genres is a highly personal choice, and the listeners of it are generally quite biased toward or against aspects of any given song, or group of songs, and quite often, the performer(s) themselves. Musicians always have and always will take from some of the great poets of our time and past times. Many famous musicians have even admitted that they have gotten stumped when trying to write a hit song.

When you first start learning something, you need to review it frequently in order to remember it. Eventually, you can review it less frequently. It’s perfect for guitarists who are just getting started with major scale melodies, riffs, lead guitar solos and bass lines. This version can be played on either acoustic or electric guitar.

You can start to learn guitar songs fast and make people wonder how you managed to suddenly sound like a professional. If you want to learn guitar songs then there are several ways of going about it. Some are easier than others, and of course the relative difficulty of each method will differ from person to person It depends how you personally respond to different teaching methods.

Start with the first chord in the song and continue the same way with the other chords. First, strum the chord on your guitar and practice playing the suitable scale up and down in various positions and patterns. Guitar tabs are seen by learning guitar players as an easy way to start playing guitar right away. That is true but it is wrong to think that guitar tablature just needs to be read. Learning guitar chords may seem tricky and confusing, especially for beginners.

Therefore, the quicker you learn the basic chords and transitioning between them, or basic fundamentals, the quicker you can learn guitar songs, virtually any song you can think of. When you learn guitar songs, you will see that scales play a major role on every song. That is why you should take time out to practice playing scales. The best songs to begin with are the ones with fairly simple chords. Beginner guitar songs are those that have just a few chords.

If you choose a collection of easy guitar songs, your learning experience will be much more enjoyable if you can then find on YouTube some free video clips of guitar players performing some of the songs you’ve chosen. Failing that you can look for audio of the songs to buy or borrow. The video demonstrations does a much better job.

Top 5 Reasons Bass Players Should Know Scales

Executive summary by Jon Brickley

best bass players

best bass players

Here’s the short list of five top reasons why a bass player should know a bit about scales and music theory:

1. Know the layout of fretboard

When you know the layout of scale patterns it becomes much easier to create a visual map of the fretboard.

2. Develop coordination

Playing through scales is the best way to gain fretboard agility quickly. It’s important to know scale patterns and practice playing through them often. This will give your hands and fingers muscle memory for those patterns.

3. Quicker to communicate

Think of scales and music theory as a language or code. It makes it easier to explain an idea for a different way to play a song or tell someone how to play a song you wrote.

4. Play better bass in a band

From practicing scales you will know the different sounds that different scales have. Then just plug that scale pattern in off the root note.

5. Learn songs faster

It becomes much easier to figure out songs when you have “big ears”. For one thing, it’s easy. There isn’t really that much to know to apply basic knowledge of scales and music theory to the music a bassist already plays.
